How to Use Crystals for Magick

If you’ve found your way here, chances are you feel drawn to the crystal kingdom,  maybe you own a few already, maybe you’re just starting to explore, or maybe you’ve always sensed there’s something deeper about them.

As a crystal healer, I have been asked a few times. 
“How can I use crystals for magick?”

The answer is both simple and powerful.

Crystals don’t create magick for you,  they amplify the magick that already lives within you. They are tools and energetic amplifiers. Your intention is what activates them.

This is ways you can work with crystals for your own practice.

Cleanse the Energy First

This is one of the most important things you need to do when working with the crystal kingdom.

Crystals carry energy. From the earth, from the people who mined them, from the store they sat in, and from anyone who has handled them.

Before I work with any stone, I cleanse it.

You can cleanse your crystals by:

Smoke cleansing with incense or herbs

Placing them under the moonlight

Using sound (bells or singing bowls)

Setting them beside Selenite, which naturally clears and purifies other stones

Cleansing resets the crystal to a neutral state so it can align with your energy and intention.

Set a Clear Intention

This is where the magick begins.

Hold your crystal in your hands. Close your eyes. Take a few slow breaths. Then clearly state what you are calling in.

For example:

For protection and grounding, I often reach for Black Tourmaline

For heart healing, love, and self-worth, I use Rose Quartz

For intuition and spiritual connection, I love working with Amethyst

Speak your intention in the present tense:

“I choose to be protected.”

“My heart is open to love and healing.”

“I choose to trust my intuition.”

Clarity strengthens energy. The more focused your intention, the stronger the amplification.

Simple Ways to Use Crystals in Magick

You don’t need complicated rituals.

Here are some ways you can begin:

During Meditation
Hold your crystal or place it on your body while meditating. Let it anchor your focus.

With Candle Work
Place your crystal next to a candle that represents your intention. As the candle burns, visualize your desire manifesting.

On Your Altar
Create a small sacred space in your home and place crystals that align with your current intentions.

Under Your Pillow
For dreamwork and intuition, sleep with a crystal nearby.

Carried Daily as a talisman
Keep a stone in your pocket or wear it as jewelry to stay aligned throughout the day.

In your bath

Please check before putting any crystals in your bath as some are not suitable to be put in water.

Using Crystals on the Body

In my healing sessions, I place crystals on specific areas of the body to support energetic alignment. You can do this for yourself at home.

Lie down somewhere comfortable. Place the crystal wherever you feel intuitively guided, over your heart, on your forehead, at your feet. Close your eyes and breathe.

Pay attention to sensations, emotions, or shifts. Your body will communicate with you if you allow it.

Build a Relationship With Your Crystals

Don’t just collect crystals, connect with them.

Spend time holding them. Journal about what you feel. Notice which stones you’re consistently drawn to.

Each crystal carries a different frequency, but your relationship with it is what makes the work powerful.

The more you trust your intuition, the stronger your magick becomes.

Try this for yourself close your eyes, connect with your heart and say which crystal will like to work with me,  you will find that it guide you towards it for deeper healing. Before buying. I always ask the crystal if it wants to come home with me. If you get a huge yes, then it is a def yes. If you get a no, ask it to guide you to the one that is calling to you.
