Kitchen witchery – Apple Crumble.
Did you know that the New Moon is a great time for planting new seeds and setting intentions for the month ahead.
To work with the new moon energy, I decided to make an apple crumble. While I was stewing the apples, I thought about what I wanted to bring into my life over the next month and the year ahead and I stirred the apple mix. I set my intentions. Then, just before putting it in the oven, I took a moment to focus on them again.
I love finding little ways to bring intention into everyday things, and baking feels like a different and perfect way to work with New Moon energy.
Magical properties – Filling.
Apples – abundance, love, wisdom, healing, fertility, and prosperity. Apples are often associated with knowledge and the harvest, which makes them wonderful for manifestation and growth work.
Lemon – cleansing, purification, clarity, positivity, and removing stagnant energy. Lemon is often used to clear away what no longer serves you and make space for new beginnings.
Maple Syrup – sweetness, abundance, attraction, comfort, and nurturing energy. It can be used symbolically to bring more sweetness, kindness, and prosperity into your life.
Water – intuition, emotions, healing, purification, and flow. Water is often seen as a carrier of intention and can represent adaptability and the flow of energy toward your goals.
The apples brought energies of abundance and growth, the lemon added cleansing and clarity, the maple syrup symbolised sweetness and attraction, and the water carried my intentions as I stirred everything together. A simple recipe, but full of New Moon magic.
