Wild Rose Shadow Affirmation

The affirmation below is for anyone that wants to work with the energy of the Rose on a deeper level.

I am rooted in the dark soil of truth.
I am not afraid of my depths.
My heart opens not only to light, but also to shadow.

Like the wild rose, I grow where I am planted,
even in harsh winds and broken ground.
I claim the parts of me that were once hidden.
I reclaim the parts of me that were silenced.

My thorns are sacred.
They are not weapons,  they are wisdom.
They guard my energy.
They honor my boundaries.

I choose not to shrink to be loved.
I choose not to soften to be accepted.
I choose not to hide my fire to make others comfortable.

I bloom in the wilderness of my becoming.
I honor my anger as a messenger.
I honor my grief as devotion.
I honor my desire as life force.

The shadows within me are fertile ground.
What was once pain now feeds my power.
What was once feared, now strengthens my roots.

I am the rose that grows through the wasteland and stone.
I am beauty that does not beg permission.
I am tenderness wrapped in fierce protection.

I integrate both my light and my dark.
I choose to be whole.
I choose to be sovereign.
I choose to embrace wild women, the women that others have tried to tame.

And from the depths of darkness, I choose to rise.

Stronger then ever before

Petal by petal.
Truth by truth.

As the Rose blooms in shadow and in flame. So do I.

And so it is. It is done. So mote it be.
