How to make a herbal infusion.

Herbal tea

Connecting with natures best for a happier and healthier you.

What is a herbal infusion?

A herbal infusions is similar to a herbal tea.

A herbal infusion uses a lot more herbs and is steeped for a lot longer than a herbal tea.

A herbal infusion is steeped for around 5 to 12 hours.

Due to the amount or herbs and how long it is steeped for. It is a lot stronger than a herbal tea and holds a lot of health benefits.

(Please see safety use at the end of the post).

How to make a herbal tea.

1 to 2 tea spoons of heaped dried or fresh herbs

175ml of boiling water.

Directions

Remove the flowers or leaves from the stem of the plant that you are using and chop.

I like to put my chopped herbs in a herbal teapot. (Which I only use to make herb infusions).

Leave to sit for 1o to 15 minutes. ( less for bitter herbs like Green tea) Cover for the best results. Most herbal tea pots have a built in sieve.

However if it doesn’t have a strainer, strain the herbs before using.

Bath infusion

Add your herbal tea to a warm bath under running water.

I like to add some Epsom salts which help to cleanse my body and mind. I also like place a cocktail of suitable crystals in my healing bath. Light some candles and put on some healing music.

For an extra bit of pampering you can add oat milk to your bath.

Herbal tea.

I like to use a pretty cup and saucer.

Stir your cup or bath water three times in a clockwise direction as you connect with your heart and set your intention to work with the plant spirit and the properties of the plant.

Thank the plant and the plant spirit for working with you.

Sit back, sip and enjoy.
